what are YOUR thoughts on anchor points?
« on: October 16, 2007, 01:34:00 PM »
where do you all think one should anchor and why? do you think an instinctive shooter should anchor different than a gap shooter?  i think one should anchor where it is comfortable, repeatable and natural.  also, what is your thoughts on 3 under vs. split? do you think aiming style should dictate this or is it a comfort and natural choice? all opinions are welcome

That's the best answer one can offer.

Except for driving tacks, I am not even sold on the absolute need for anchoring per se.   At close range (10 yards ?), you can do very well "anchoring" at the middle of your chest.

I think when you become "one with your bow" you can play more and get away with more.  Again, if you want perfection and tight groups or real far accuracy...OK, you need to do it a little better.

I think your last statement hit it.
