I agree also about checking out the Chippewa Wedge Loc stands.
Definitely are stable and quiet. Easy to hang with the strap also.

not sure what model muddy I was using but the seat cover was very loud when you moved your butt in the cold say 30 degrees and less.
I sat in a new Millenium and it was very comfortable.
I have to say, I'f I really had only one choice it would be the Lone wolf, but if it was one fo them situations where I had to leave the stand it would be the millenium,,,, I won't leave the LW over night in the woods if you paid me.

Does anyone use the Lone Wolf EZ hang system. Any comparisons to the Chippewa Wedge loc?

As I sit on my father in laws lone wolf tree stand I can say from experience.. MY BUTT IS KILLING ME!! Had I know his .already hung, stand would be this uncomfortable. I. Am constantly having to move to readjust, etc.
Check out something with a bigger cushion down there.. Or maybe I need a bigger cushion down there

The XOP Air Raid stand has all the advantages of the Lone Wolf, maybe a few more, and has a bigger cushion seat. Or you can order their seat which fits on Lone Wolf seat frames...

I own several lone wolf hang on stands. They are not my choice for long sits during the rut. Hunted out of a millinuim this year and was extremely pleased with the seat.
Enjoy your new stand.

Lone Wolf Alpha II is my stand of choice.
Big platform, adjustable seat and platform, easy set up, rock solid and easy to carry.
I move my stands constantly, and often walk a mile or more, so easy transport and weight (14 lbs) are essential.

The Chippewa Wedge-loc's are really nice stands and I used one for about 8 years. The only negative is you can't adjust for left or right leaning trees. They have a saddle that hugs the sides of tree so if the tree leans to either side that's what your stuck with. The platform does adjust up or down and they are really easy to hang and super solid once hung.
Last year I sold off some stands and stuff and got a Lone Wolf Hand Climber Combo and an Alpha II hang on. I gotta say they're great stands and have a lot more adjustment for leaning tree's. I'm happy with both the climber and hang on, I've used the climber the most.
I make sure and carry them out after every hunt, they are pricey even on sale but so are the Chippewa's.
The Chip or LW are two of the best so it just comes down the your personal likes, I choose LW.
