I had a pretty slow year in the field this fall with my bow. I was beginning to get a little discouraged one day when I ran across this. I figured if this tree could find a way to go full circle and reach for the sun I could too.

wow, you missed the opportunity.  You need to sit there during the height of the suns arc on the winter Solstice ( or is it the summer Solstice) and see where the light shines as it goes thru the loop.  That is where the Woods Pixies buried the treasure.

I remember my father used to take me to a spot grouse hunting that had a tree growing around an old Schwinn bicycle,, he showed me his initials in some tree that he carved in the fifty's with his girlfriend when he was 16.

Very cool.  I missed an opportunity to photograph something like that. Wished I would have thought of it.

On the back end of my hunting woods, I found a a tree that had grown into a perfect arch.  I used to use it as a landmark.
Come to think of it, it might still be there... Think I will grab the snowshoes the first chance I get on a nice day and go see.

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki
