Helix Broadheads

Just wondering if anyone has shot these out of their tradbows, and how the heads performed?

Those broadheads are Tim Strickland's design.
They look good but I have never tried them, but I know he swears by them and they look tough.
I also have poor sharpening skills, and might have a problem with that.

These are the only broad heads I've shot for 6 years. I've shot them in weights 125 to 200 grains. Right and left wing (make sure your feathers match).  

Very tough head, shoot true, and I've had 5 pass throughs on 6 whitetail and one bear I've killed with them since 2010. I'm shooting 44-47# draw weights, 27" draw, and have used Axis Trads but now using Easton Deep Six Injections. Tim has ferrules for these Deep Six arrows as well.

Frankly, this broadhead is the only part of my hunting rig I don't tinker with.  

Full disclosure....Tim is a very good friend as well and I probably wouldn't have tried these broad heads if he had not designed them.

I've been shooting the 200gr for a couple seasons and love them. They fly right with my field points, and sharpen easily with his bevel sharpener. Missed a deer this year, but hit a large branch, and the bevel split the branch about 3 inches on either side of the head. Imagine what that would do to bone.

I've shot a couple deer with the 150 grain left bevel. Great head.

I shot one deer quartering to me, about dead center of the shoulder blade. Arrow broke through the right shoulder and exited just behind the ribs. Had two holes, but never found the broadhead end of the shaft.

My only complaint was the design makes them a little tough to sharpen. I'm a little better at it now though, and could probably do a good job with a stone. I didn't care for the sharpener that they sell.

I'm shooting cutthroats now, but liked the helix and will probably order more.
