Standard Goldtip Nock V.S Easton G Nock/Supernock
« on: December 31, 2015, 05:38:00 PM »
I was wondering how the fit and throat size compare to the standard gold tip nock.  I know serving size and string count make a difference.  I mean in general is one usually a tighter fit on the string?

If someone has used and shot all three that would be great.

I tried the Bohning nocks as well for goldtips and I found that the nock wings were closer together but the nock throat seemed bigger than the goldtip throat.  Just trying to really nail down arrowflight and find some tougher nocks.  The gold tip ones have broken on me several times.

I have used all 3...shot lots of Super Nocks over the last 20 years...shot quite a few GT nocks in recent years...just started shooting the G nocks recently...in general the fit of a Super Nock is tighter but I have no idea how much batch to batch variation is possible...bottom line on nock fit is you have to try it before you know...I am lucky in that my stringbuilder is very picky about such things

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

G nocks will be tighter than the GT given the same string diameter.

G-nocks come in two sizes,a small groove with a .088 throat and a large groove with a .098 throat.Easton 3D Super nocks have a larger throat then the standard Super nocks,a .098 like large groove G-nocks.They are both very close to GT nocks.

I use Easton Super Nocks in my GT trad 3555's .

I use GT shafts and shoot Supernocks as well. Much stronger than the standard GT nocks imo.
