Im switching set ups for 2016
Going back to a wood shafts
I have some eskimos new in the pack  , but was thinking of woodsman glue on or a snuffer.

The reason Im debating this in my mind is I want the deer to go down fast and produce a good blood trail
The reason is where Im hunting is dense, hard to navigate due to hills and creek.

Also in the other direction are some homes

Maybe snuffers or eskimos, but shot placement is the most important.

Snuffers and other large 3 blades are known for good blood trails.  Not saying Eskimos won't leave a good one, but have had good luck with those you listed.  As always, shot placement and sharp broadheads are the biggest keys.

All of those are great, proven heads.  Get them sharp, put them in the right spot and the deer will go down.  

The right spot is tighter forward than many folks are taught.  Put one there, don't spook the deer by yelling and dancing or getting down after it right away, and it shouldn't go very far at all.

Slickhead, what weight bow are you using?  I tried snuffers this year and shot a doe, did not get good penetration and the weight of my longbow is 48#.  My snuffer was razor sharp.  I shot a button buck with a 2blade ACE this week.  It was razor sharp and it smoked right thru like butter.  The buck ran 20 yards and walked like nothing happened.  Bedded and dropped over dead.  The doe I shot with the snuffer went a 1/2 mile.  I bumped her next morning and never recovered her.  The shot was low, so not a great comparison, but for lighter rigs I will stay with woodsman or two blade.  I have learned my lesson this year with bigger heads in under 50# bows.  Just my 2 cents.

Remember no matter what the combo the exit wound is the most important.  So you need enough bow to make sure you have the penetration to get and exit.

This being said, it takes more energy to push the Snuffer then the WW through a deer and the same applies with the two blades.

I like the WW and a heavy arrow for bows under 50#.

Also they must be sharp and not "sharp enough".

Don't know your bow weight or draw length....but WWs  would be my choice,  or no mercy 4 blades, unless you got enough bow n arrow for snuffers.

Wingnut's comments are spot on; you want two holes and SHARP blades.  Shot placement and edge sharpness are the main factors in a short trail and good blood in my experience, not so much # of blades and width.

Woodsmans, VPA's and Grizzly Instincts are all similar sized and excellent 3 blades.  The VPA's and Instincts are heavier, good in my opinion.  In a two blade, I really like the Grizzly Kodiaks, a long single bevel or an Ace Express, mostly because I've had good results with them.

for 3 blade I personally like snuffers I file the tip a bit so it don't curl.... woodsmans work great too but also check out the grizzly instincts I will have those on next season,,,,, I have no probs with VPA or Big Jims and also have razorcaps on a few arrows,,,, guess I'm a fan of them all.

If you got Woodsman... use em... if you are going to purchase some, i'd recommend the Grizzly Instincts.  They are the best 3 blade i've come across for the buck, and not hard to get real sharp either.

I wanted deer to go down quickly with a better blood trail this past season, so I went with Woodsman Broadheads instead of the Eskimos I've used in the past (successful). I hit my doe in the heart, so she didn't bleed very much at all (no more pump) and she went down very quickly. Anything may have worked with that shot, but I'll be tipping my arrows with Woodsman broadheads next year just to be sure.

Im a 2-blade fan but I used to shoot 3s. I liked the Snuffers a lot more than the Woodsman. Although I have not tried the Woodsman Elite. I just like the Snuffer. Easy to mount true, easy to sharpen, very deadly head.
