Just pack the wound with mud and shoot some more.
Really though, sorry for the injury.

Still have scars in crouch of my hand between thumb and index finger from shooting a Jet bow and feathers as a kid back in the day...

A few years ago I got a feather in my left index finger, in the top of the first joint..  thing is I did not know it. I thought it was a small cut. It swelled up.  About a week later while gripping my long bow it opened up and a yellow thing popped out.  I went in and got some tweezers and pulled out a1/2"yellow feather. Funny the swelling went away in a day.
