Rare openings for Trad Gang Canada bear camp Russell Outdoor Guides

We have had a small group of our hunters move their bear hunt to 2017 due to a health issue so we now have a few rare openings to our Canada bear camp. For those not familiar with what we offer, here is the skinny...

We will only have 12-14 hunters in our camp this entire season. We keep the camp small so that we can provide personal service at the highest level. Our territory is over one million acres and we are the exclusive bear outfitter. Seeing a bear will not be an issue as we will put several right in your lap and as close as you want them.

This is a wilderness bowhunting experience in one of the most beautiful places on earth- The Mastigouche Wilderness of Quebec. Our baits sites are clean and we cater very much to trad bow hunters with our stand placements. This is the land of BIG bears, moose and wolves.

We hunt only the two weeks of the season that include pre-rut and full rut (mid-June) so that you have little worries of bad weather and the bears will be running crazy. We have been 100% shot opportunity for many years and have GIANT bears in this very lightly hunted reserve.

We would love to have both weeks of the hunt filled with Trad Gang members. Last year we were about 70% trad gang.  

Normally we stay booked out far in advance so this is a great chance for someone to get that big black bear off that bucket list.

This a great hunt and Jerry is a great guide. Ive been for the last two years and killed bears on both trips. Lots of bears and the camp is great, clean and comfortable. Very relaxing hunt and with a lot trad guys around the mid day shoots are fun.
If you have ever wanted to do a Canadian bear hunt this is the place. If you have never met Jerry you will leave as a friend.

I will say that Jerry runs a great camp, and he will work very hard to get you a bear, and then the work for him really starts after you shoot one.  Plus this hunt is in a beautiful area.  I don't know of anyone with regrets about going on this hunt.  This ought to fill up quickly.

I was there last year...and the year before    I got one thing to say: GO! The beauty of that place and the comrade of camp is awesome. I am going to miss being there this year...I will miss Bear dog, the tracking king of the Mastagouche!

Oh yeah bears...lots. A real chance at a magnum blackie! Limited tags for miles and miles of wilderness with easy access. Jerry knows his bears and sets and will take you to sets that are good looks with potential for a beast.

I took 6 guys last year: 2 of us killed bears, two guys passed bears that they should have shot and 2 mmmmmissed. That's 6 for 6 in 5 days. We could have all killed bears but two guys were really picky and two guys couldn't shoot worth a damn    Two of us though...  (See me and Bear dog above)

I will get a list out to all the hunters soon so that we can set up some car pooling plans. I just booked a couple guys out of Illinois so maybe they are close to you?

Man, would sure love to but just finalized plans for Antelope in Wyoming with a good fried. That was the last of my vacation time.  :(

Guys if you have never been on a quality bear hunt then you are truly missing out. Jerry puts on one of the best hunts I've ever been on and I have been on plenty. I have booked with him for three years in a row. And was set up for 2016 until life made some minor changes for me. So I have had to push my next hunt with Jerry out to 2017.
If you are looking for a great bear and a memorable hunt you need to give him a call. Out of the three seasons I've hunted with him I was blessed with the opportunity to take two awesome bears as you look at this post check take a look at the first bear pic that's me with my first P&Y bear with my widow recurve and then last season I took another fine bear with my widow long bow. So if your looking for a great hunt and something you will remember as one of the best you've been on give him a shout. Jerry take care and I look to be seeing you soon. I am truly going to miss you guys at camp this season but am already planning for 2017.
