Among my longbows is a very nice recurve, if I shoot it with the same pressure points as i do my longbows the arrows will be all over the place. Even my different longbow grips need to be considered and slight adjustments need to be made. There also can be a difference in how one points a pistol grip versus a straight grip with a slightly bent bow arm, a different muscle balance comes into play. If I shoot my recurve with a glove, at times, I give the bow a longbow nudge, an improper and involuntary reaction. I have found if I have been shooting the recurve a lot, I do similar involuntary things when I go back to my longbows, that would make the recurve happy and make the longbows angry.
