« on: February 18, 2016, 06:19:00 PM »
i have a 45# carsage recurve that has the strikerplate set to centershot, i draw it to 28".this bow tunes with easton 600s cut to 29-3/8" with a 125 grain tip and 4 fletch 3 inch feathers.i need to have my arrow atleast 29 inches long and will use an aluminum rps insert. should i get 1916s or 2016s? will the 1916s give me an arrow thats shorter than 29 when i bareshaft? will moving to 100 grain points work better for the 1916s?

I have several bows at 45# @ 28". I draw 27". Out of these bows I shoot 2016's with 145 gr field pt. I think the 1916's would be too weak.

I do not think thre is a foolproof theoretical solution to your problem.you just have to choose and tune again.
