PBR and Bunnies
« on: February 22, 2016, 09:43:00 AM »
No not that kind of PBR...well maybe. PBR is the name of my mulberry selfbow that I took on a bunny hunt yesterday. It was a very rare beautiful Feb., day in Wyoming so finished some projects in the morning and headed to a small ranch I have permision to hunt rabbits on. It was a picture perfect wildlife viewing day. Only had phone so no photos but I saw about 50 mule deer. 70 or so pronghorn there were two heards coming to water on opposite sides of the creek at the same time. When I pop around the corner in my truck it was pandemonium. Saw a bald eagle and a hawk dropped onto a mouse not 20 feet in front of my truck, sweet. There was a flock of about 15 turkeys on the ajoining ranch that I have to pass thru. O and bunnies.

Selbows, nutters, and bunnies were made for each other, to the detriment of the bunnies.

Sorry the photos were from my phone

The old structure in the left of the photo had hay on the left side and counted for one of the rabbits.

Much needed day of wandering the hills with bow in hand bonus of rabbit dinnner and of course a PBR, yes that kind.

Jack, nice to see a day where the wind wouldn't blow you down. Looks like a great time in SE Wyo.
