We are excited about the new addition to our hunting camp.
The 12 man Kifaru tipi will be perfect for our moose hunt this fall in Alaska.

That is sweet! How much does the package weigh? And how small can it pack down? Does it have a floor liner?

The foot print is 20 x 17 and it's 10.5' high.

Only two of us going this year so the 12 man will be perfect.  For larger groups we'll use John's 16 man and possibly both.

The package weighs 17 pounds if I remember correctly and packs into 3 stuff sacks.

Teamed with the Ti 4 dog stove it will be a comfortable camp for our late September hunt.

I have a 8 man, took it to Alaska last year an had some condensation issues. I am thinking about a liner. Did you get a liner, do you think you need one?

Yes we got the liner and learned that lesson years ago with John's 16 man.  The liner is the only way to go if you don't want condensation on your gear.

Hey Mike, a 12-man for only two guys.  Now that's living in style.  Very roomy.  Will be able to take a shower inside.

I haves a 6-man that works OK for two, but wish I had gotten an 8-man now.  In the hilly country I hunt out west though, it's hard to found a spot level enough to stake a tent any larger.  Love those Kifarus.

Yep a big flat spot is always a tough find.

Going to a new spot this year but it's a creek bottom with a gravel bar.  I think we can find flat and have an ax to clear small trees.
