My week of deer hunting starts in ...
« on: October 19, 2007, 03:25:00 PM »
Just a few hours.   I'm leaving tomorrow morning for the woods of northern MI.  The goal, a quiet week of hunting and relaxation.

No phones, no TV, no computers.

Things have been screwy this fall so this may be my one deer hunting trip this year. I am really looking forward to it.

Nothing like time in the woods with stick and string to recharge those overused batteries.     :archer:

I know the color up there is past peak but I'll be sure to get some good pictures just the same.

Good luck Mike, we're headed to northwestern Wisconsin tomorrow morning.

Hey Drew, I've hunted in Traverse City! also the UP. I love the north in the fall.

Good luck! Deer are moving, and coyotes are singing. Buck activity as far as rubs and even some scrapes is good.

The warm temps have the woods particularly aromatic.

All the bowhunters I know are seeing deer, and they seem to be active at midday quite a bit.

I hope you have a great time!!!!!!!!

Best of luck Mike, I'm heading up to our place in the U.P. next week for a few days of Bowhunting deer and chasing Grouse. It truly does'nt get any better than that! I'm feelin like the luckiest man alive!

Thanks guys.   I'm hitting the road.   Good luck to all of you as well.

LeRoy, Evan is definitely NOT going on this trip.    :biglaugh:     (Maybe he's hunting with Jesse.)

Mike,
Good Luck!  I know how you feel.  I'm heading up North next weekend for a two day hunt, but my week long hunt doesn't start until Nov. 3rd.  Seems like a long way off.
