Charlie

We got that bow for Dylan on a popular internet auction site (that for some reason shows up as a bunch of asterisks when I attempt to type it) for Christmas last year. I think I got a decent deal on it (but who ever thinks they didn't get a good deal - heh) but you can pick up some of the older Bears like that out there for not too many dollars.

They don't look as cool as the longbows, and I have a feeling they are a bit less forgiving (especially when you have orangutan arms like my son and I do), but there is something to say for the light weight and the small frame - especially in the thick stuff like we saw this past weekend.

I like my DH tons, but I'm constantly flirting w/ the idea of moving up to a longbow.

Those bows sure shot nicely, don't know if I would switch over.  I'm really looking at a Bob Lee takedown longbow.  All the benefits of a recurve handle with the stability of a longbow limb.  I'm just not sure if it will draw quite as smoothly as your recurves did.

Those small bows don't bother me, I only have a 271/2 to 28 in draw

Thanks for posting the pics Mark. No way I could figure out the photo bucket thing. One of the things I liked the most about the whole trip. NO CELL SERVICE!! It was so nice to just have it quiet.   :campfire:
Zen without realization of the body is empty speculation. If I could only stop dropping the BOW!!!!!!

Drummer I second that! It was nice not to have to worry about a phone ringing
