Larry, I don't think this bird had read the regulations, and wasn't quite sure what an old guy with a long stick and string was up to. I probably educated his buddies, who will go blabbing it to the old gobblers that 'he's back'. Might make the next bird a little tougher.

I hope we get a couple of frosty nights right before our season opens.  I hate it when I find a perfect place to sit, just to have the ticks move me around.  When they get a group effort going they can do anything.   I have ten days to get off of telescope time and onto turkey time, a twelve hour shift for me.  Good luck on the big boy.

Congrats!!  I think I will be trying neck and head shots this year.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
