Juniper bows?
«
on:
April 20, 2016, 11:13:00 PM »
Been thinking about getting a custom bow and pondering wood options. I really like the look of juniper but there don't seem to be many pics of juniper bows. Does anyone have pics to share?
I was thinking juniper and myrtle burl would make a nice looking bow, but with so many nice woods out there its hard to choose.

Cocobolo and juniper, both Toelkes. One a Chinook and the other a lynx.

I can't do pics, but I have two HHA Cheetahs. I think juniper makes a beautiful bow. As the pictures already displayed on this thread indicate juniper is a solid choice. My bows are pretty and they perform well. I recommend them greatly.

I just checked and do not have a picture, but I owned a Chad Francis Life Ender with juniper limb veneers and cocobolo diamond wood riser. Really went together well.

I think I owned that Chinook one time. A real beauty and a shooter too.

If thinking ASL check out McBroom and 7 Lakes both are making great bows with juniper, and Dave Johnson he uses juniper and makes beautiful bows. Do a search McBroom had pictures on his on here at one time. I have an ASL made by a local guy that is black glass and juniper it is the litest bow I have and a good shooter.
