Taking (Took) my nephew to see Mike Mitten's seminar.

I'm taking my 32 year old nephew to hear Mike speak in Ct. Craig has made a bit of a mess of his life and the last few years he's been coming around to "fixing" himself. One of the ways that he is fixing things is through bowhunting.

I've always had a connection with him even though we went through a long period where we didn't do much together. The past few years, I could see that he has been straighting out and had dove head first into Bowhunting. To me, that's all well and good, but he needed the right bow!!!  I was able to find him a newer Super Kodiak and as it turns out, he's not that bad of a shot!!

Craig has the right attitude and just wants to be in the woods with his new bow. I've been slowly pulling him away from the "Outdoor Channel" mentality. He's new at all of this and I think he'll get a lot from Mikes seminar.

He's really been responding to our new "bonding". Two months ago, he started treatment for stage one testicular cancer, so I know that joining me at Mikes seminar will do him a world of good.

That sure does sound like a great idea. He has a lot on his plate right now,glad he's getting his priorities straight. I have read Mikes book, sure does sound like the real deal. I am sure if Mike reads this thread, he'll probably take Craig aside and have a one on one inspirational talk. Never know.  Praying for the best.

Good for you Sean. It is my belief that if more are exposed to archery at an early age, other less desired vice would be avoided in their lives. Mike is a great hunter and will instill further desire in your nephews life on the bowhunting lifestyle.

I can't wait to meet Craig , Sean, Gary, Charlie, Matt, and all others in Ct on Saturday. I'm going there to learn myself, and I hope everyone can take something home from the event. I want to thank Gary Hall up front for his effort and suport of an event he had the vission to set up. Mike

Thanks guys, Craig is very excited. I told him that he needed to watch "Primal Dreams" and to listen to the words. Thanks guys for the encouraging words.

I can't wait! It's great to be around people who have the same passions as you. I was going to suggest he watched primal dreams but it sounds like you already thought of that. I would also suggest he reads mikes book. I know I'll be bringing my copy to be signed.

Thank you Mike and Gary for putting this together!!  Craig got a lot out of it. I was thrilled that Mike was able to talk to him and offer some words of encouragement. his seminars were awesome. His third seminar was about Bart Schleyer I always love hearing about Bart and Paul Schafer. His seminars on whitetail calling and his solo hunts drew a lot of oooo,s and ahhh's!!
