Shawn Swafford Knives
« on: April 30, 2016, 06:48:00 PM »
I received my knife from Shawn, known as Ringneck on Tradgang a few weeks ago, and would like to show you the end result. I was given a pair of elk ivory by my best friend a few years ago and was waiting for the perfect thing to do with it. After talking with Shawn, one of his hunting knives would become the new home for one of the ivory, which was inlayed in a autumn hunter knife. It has Honduran Rosewood Burl scales and his standard mosaic pins. Here is a picture of what it looks like and I couldn't be more pleased. By the way it is a gift for that best friend who I mentioned above that gave me the elk ivory, my son.

Doesn't surprise me any-I have 3 of his pieces of working art.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

That is one special knife, bet he will be very proud of it.

Shawn's knives are some of the best! I have three, each a different style, one small size is my every day carry.
You would also be hard pressed to find a nicer guy. One of mine

Thank You Shawn. My wife and I gave it to him after receiving his MBA on Sunday. I would not be surprised if he had it underneath his pillow last night. Hopefully he will be able to use it on our elk this fall. A priceless gift for sure. Thanks again.
