Ugly Arrows? Here are mine, Share yours!
« on: May 08, 2016, 05:01:00 AM »
Today I was putting together some arrows. I decided to try to make them hard to lose. A bit of tape and a rattle can of florescent Orange and away I went. They came out pretty UGLY!.. But I think the goal of making them difficult to lose was accomplished.

These are Warrior shafts 500 spine, full length, 100 gn inserts and 100 grain tips. They were stuffed full of nylon rope for a total weight of 584 grains.  They are flying pretty well out of my 49lb Stalker Coyote. Should be heading to the woods tomorrow weather permitting.

They are not ugly. Let's just say they are "striking". They should be easy to find, that's for sure. Actually, I like them.

Those are really cool!!  I'm going to try that, are the fletchings dyed or did you paint those as well?

I have some truly ugly ones to show off but those are not ugly at all!  Wouldn't take them turkey hunting but they would be great for big game.

Seems I can't loose break or otherwise destroy my ugly arrows. Now my good ones, that's another story. But, the ones that survive, that's how they get to be ugly.

The fletching are just the flo orange camo from 3 rivers clearance sale. I bought a bunch because they were cheap. (then I paid a million dollars shipping) lol.

The spirals don't look so good in natural light. But they will be hard to lose. (I hope.)
All of the spirals match the fletching accept one. I will shoot them a bunch to see if there is any difference in flight. hahaha. I can't imagine there would be.
Tradbrew, that is a hell of a color combo you got there!

I do not think they are ugly either.

Also, if you are ever in the need for some nylon rope you will know where to find some!    ;)

Life's too short to shoot ugly arrows. That said, I once spraypainted a dozen flourescent orange with white feathers.

I TRIED to lose those, and couldn't!

No arrow is ugly after it's blown through a deer's vital organs.
