Zipper Standard Riser Question?
« on: May 26, 2016, 10:18:00 AM »
Does anyone know if the current Zipper standard risers accept the same limbs as the SXT and ZSR?  I know the limbs used to be wider on the Standard and extreme but I thought I heard that they narrowed the limbs on the Standard riser. I also heard that you can have  send in your older (1990s) standard riser and have it refinished to accept the newer, narrower limb design, does that mean it accept all of the new Zipper limbs?
Thanks

The new limbs are more narrow so older risers are not compatible but you can send riser to bill and he can adapt it to fit the new limbs.

Thanks, So if you have a newer riser or an adapted older riser the SXT and ZSR longbow, recurve and Z4 limbs should all be interchangeable between the Standard, Extreme, SXT and ZSR risers?

Bill is very approachable and easy to get a hold of.  I'm sure he would love to give you an answer direct from the horse's mouth.  Give him a call.

To my understanding that is correct. Best thing to do would be to give him a call he will answer any questions you have. His customer service is outstanding!

All of the limbs will mount to the riser (I'm not sure about the z4) .. But the riser will be wider than the limbs. I have hunted with old limbs on my new sxt riser when I needed to in a pinch. I would have bill reprofile the old riser to fit the new limbs... As said above.. HE IS THE MAN!!
