arrow groups
« on: June 03, 2016, 10:34:00 PM »
I often see pictures of awsome, tight arrow groups here, I've posted a few myself. Now I know that just about everybody can and does shoot a great group every now and then and often there is a certain bow that just fits and makes shooting those groups much easier and more consistent. I just got a classic whip from Dan Tolke that I think I can live with for a looooong time. I had shot a bit at my 3D target with it and decided it was time to put it (and myself) to the test on paper. The bow is 64", 62# @28 inches, I draw about 29.5, made from cocobola and myrtle.

I went out cold two day in a row and shot 60 arrows each day, zero warm up both days. As you can see in the pic I threw one out to the almost one ring with one of my first five arrows the first day. Other than that, this is a pic of a 120 arrow group. Most of the high threes were from the first 30 arrows the first day, I managed to pull them down a bit and couldn't be happier with how this bow fits and handles. My hat's off to Dan for a wonderfull bow that I am sure will be a constand companion for many years to come!

At what distance were you shooting or did I miss that?

I have the Whip 66" 43@27 Classic also, It's now the only bow I have. I have a 28" draw so that gets me to #45 with ZERO stacking with the Whip. Everyone should try a Whip "Classic" just once.
Odds are with the prepared..

Love my Toelke too.  Congrats.

I can go weeks without shooting it and make a vital area cold shot
