Well I was expecting to begin receiving my recently won items from the St Jude's auction over the next few days, but little did I know everything would be waiting when I got home.
I would like to thank Caleb Monroe for listing the Bear Kodiak Hunter. I've always wanted a Grayling Green recurve so when I saw it I figured I would throw a bid out there to keep the auction moving. I ended up losing track of time and checked in several days later just to realize my bid had held. I was extremely surprised and pleased. Not only is the bow in great shape, it unexpectedly arrived in what appears to be a brand new bow sock.
I would also like to thank kleine for listing the Selway quiver. I've been slowly working my way through different quivers trying to find what I like and don't like. I'm really looking forward to giving it a try this season.
Finally, the item I was really excited about. The Acadian Woods take down Tree Stick! Not very long ago, I was telling a couple buddies how badly I wanted to find a Tree Stick in the 50-55# range. I really like the one I have but I wanted one lighter. As luck would have it, Elkken listed this one only a day or two later. I knew I had to have it and ended up winning the auction at an embarrassingly low price. So much so, my conscience got the best of me and I had to throw in a little extra. I still believe I got a steal and plan to make it up on donations next year.
I can't thank you guys enough for your donations, along with TradGang as a whole for holding this auction every year for such a worthy cause! Please keep up the great work!!!!
