Gold Tip spine testing kit
« on: July 08, 2016, 11:03:00 PM »
Do you know anyone that sells single bareshafts for the Gold Tip Traditionals?  I'd like to pick up and keep a 340, 400, and 500 on hand just to do bareshaft testing/tuning.

Where in Arkansas are you?  I'm down to do a double order and split shipping.

I plan to order a 340, 400, and 500 shaft, a standard and heavy insert for each, and a small selection of point weights.  I'd keep them separate from all my other arrows and just have a test kit on hand to work up a baseline for any bow that comes through.

I bought shafts that were weak, then a roll of electrician's tape...

Kept building out the side plate with electrical tape till they behaved, then peeled off, measured total thickness and put that thickness of material behind the side plate and the arrows behaved perfectly...

Cheaper then buying a lot of arrows of different spine...
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!
