well ive recently started an ilf bow build and had my first riser split at the sight window and the second riser delaminate at the throat of the grip, both riser blocks were made by me laminating wood with either titebond or gorilla wood glue, so i decided to buy a block of brown actionwood as i dont feel like having to go through the process of building another.i ordered the riser block from bingham projects with some limb bolt threaded inserts and some 1/4-20 bear style inserts for the quiver i made.i ordered the riser on the 4th of july and recieved it today. it shipped on the 5th from utah and im in ny. it took a total of 2.5 days to recieve my order. thats some pretty fast shipping considering the distance from them to me, that is about the time it takes for me to get orders from lancaster archery. i am overall very impressed with binham projects and will continue to use their services for my bow building projects.

I am no expert, but laminating a riser I would use the slow set epoxy that Binghams sells.  
I have only built 1 bow, it was from Binghams plans and materials.  Turned out fine, for a first build, they were helpful in deciding what I needed to order.
 Going to build another when time allows.

I second the epoxy for laminating the riser woods. As for the service I second that as well. Great folks to deal with.

You are on the right track with the actionwood.

In future glue ups use the EA40 smooth on. It's the same stuff you would use to laminate the limbs.  Bingham sells it at about $18 a pint.  Pricey compared to TB or gorilla, but you have already seen what can happen with the wrong stuff.

You should visit. "the bowyer's bench" forum here on TG.  There you will find experienced folks who build those risers.

Yep.  That's what the professionals use for good reason. You can try to go cheaper, but in the end you will waste $$ on materials that don't hold together.
