Old Memories

Just pulled this old 65# Robertson Prairie Falcon 3pc to sell.  More importantly the memories came flooding out too.  Some 25 years ago, a much stronger/younger Tippit took his Dad @ 75 years of age to Quebec for a Caribou hunt.  Now I'm approaching my father's age.  The Merry-Go-Round keeps turning round & round...but what a great journey. tippit

Know what sucks?  seizures,  I lost years of  memories=Mom's funeral, children's weddings, hunts, canoe trips and names of friends=all gone.  I am still here making new ones.

Jeff,
I just want to say thank you once again for you graciously answering my plea for an early set of Grayling limbs. If it would not have been for you, I am quite sure I may have never had such an awesome pair. I follow your posts, and realize more of your being a first class guy with every one. May you be blessed with many more hunts in your journey, and by the way congratulations on a beautiful animal.

Great photo Jeff! This fall I took 5 weeks of vacation so my dad and I could drive out to Colorado and hunt the entire archery season for elk. He is 70yo  :)  Time goes so fast...

That bow is worth displaying with the picture in your den. Maybe with a few other photos of the hunt with your Dad. Great picture.

I still see the painted ponies go up and down..
Turning sixty. I cannot imagine the pain of knowing that I had lost memories! Then again, some memories are only preserved through accounts and pictures. The good ones are such a comfort.

If lost, and there are no friends to relive them with, then the only repair is to make new ones! But, we were supposed to do that anyway.

Great pic tippit ! That does look like a awesome memory and thank you for sharing with us. I  had my great hunts with my Dad that passed and they are some of my fondest memories. It is my hope that we will have many more in this life and the next if the Lord is willing.

I also have a Prairie Falcon td. Its a beautiful bow. 62" 68#s. Bows are vary powerful when it comes to bringing back memories. I cant seem to get myself to sell. Actually I just plain dont want to.

Roadkill, hope you are doing ok. Had what one of my doctors thought could be a seizure when I fell out of a chair Memorial Day. Thought it was dehydration and high blood pressure spikes but the tests did not show that.

Seizures are scary.
