Bamboo under clear glass
« on: July 28, 2016, 10:57:00 PM »
Anyone with pics of the natural darkening process bamboo undergoes over time? Maybe Tonkin cane under clear glass. I've got some on my bows belly and understand the resins will darken over time, which I think will be pretty neat.

The edges on mine are quite a bit more bright than the parts under the clear glass.  I don't know if some of the coloration is from the glass itself or darkening of the wood.  Even with the darker yellows, it still looks a little bright in the woods sometimes but doesn't seem to get me busted so it must not be that obnoxious to animals.

Dirty bamboo limbs on this Rampart longbow.
