thin ones usually groove faster than non.....

but....even though the American Leathers slick shot has nylon reinforcements....the leather they use is very supple and it broke in when you get it pretty much.

I like them because they last and last....I have 3 of them that are 2 years old and two more that are 10byears old I guess.

i really liked the legacy kangaroo glove but it has string grooves now and is stiff from sweating, how long should a thin glove like the legacy last if you shoot everyday?

I would usually go through 2-3 a year with thin gloves. I think I'm on year 5 with my big shot.

you can wash the sweat out of your leather with luke warm water, just wear it a bit as it dries and maybe give it a touch more oil.

as far as gloves im not sure, only used the neet glove and the berlin shooting gloves. I like the berlin ones but i can see how a thicker glove would be nice for really long shooting sessions.

I kinda want to try out one of those old fred bear gloves with the single seam stitched on top of the fingers.

I just bought the Bear gloves from Neet Archery . They have thinner finger stalls and I really like the way the rest of the glove is made . I bought mine from the Footed Shaft

If you aren't happy with your kangaroo, you'll be less happy with the Damascus. My experience, having moved from a Damascus to the Kangaroo. I've been shooting that kangaroo for some months now, an I think it is a better glove in every respect than the new Damascus.

It'll I've been using, shooting nearly every day. No perceptible "grooves", better string control, and just enough more protection than the Damascus.

The Neet glove you've been shooting is a different feel ( I've shot the Black Widow version). Go with your preference.

When I took Rod Jenkins class he commented about gloves, something like your either breaking them in or they are to worn, very little time when they are just right. I think this is true and something you have to live with if you shoot thin stall gloves, replacing them often. Switched to an American leathers crossover and liked it a lot after getting used to it, since then I have moved to a tab and can't wear it out. The thinner glove that lasted the longest for me was the duraglove. Good luck.

I don't know anything about the kangaroo glove but I do know that being that I live in the south.....

My gloves soak up a whole lot of sweat never had much of a problem with it I just put some conditioner on them every once in awhile and again mine last for years and years and I've done a lot of shooting.

For over 20 years I used nothing but Damascus Gloves. Over the last few years they just don't seem to be made as well as they once were, the older ones were USA made but that's no longer the case. A couple of years ago I was at Gregg Coffey's to pick up an Assyrian he'd built for me. Gregg had a Bearpaw Black Glove that was given to him by Tim Cosgrove from Kustom King Archery. I shot that and I've been shooting nothing else since then. Great glove, comfortable, slick and durable. Might be a little thicker in the finger tips than you're looking for but after shooting the thin Damascus gloves for years it took me no time at all to get accustomed to it.
