Carbon incert removal?

Is there a way to remove incerts that have been super-gel'd in?  Would like to pull and incert 100gr brass incerts.

  If that's not possible do they make 100 gr screw in add-on weights?  All I could find is 50gr.

Best thing is to not start with gluing them into the arrows with superglue.  Next time use Ferr-L-Tite blue stick, low temp glue.

Best way to remove them is to take out the nocks.  Find a drill bit that is just small enough to fit into the shaft.  Hold the nock end of the shaft to prevent the bit from falling out, raise the tip of the arrow and then give it a sharp snap downward.
Hopefully the momentum of the drill bit will knock up against the insert and break the bond of the glue.
It works some of the time, but not always.

You can also put a field tip on, then heat the field tip with a torch. Sometimes this works, and sometimes you ruin a shaft.

Just use Big Jim's Quick Stick hot melt glue, and you will never have trouble getting inserts out, or lose points/inserts in targets again!

Also, if it is the GT weights you are seeing, they screw together, so you can just use 2 50gr and achieve what you want.

Drill bit, get it swinging like a slam hammer. A trick I learned on here was to tape a sock to the end of the arrow so when it pops out you don't have the insert and drill flying who knows where at high velocity. Plus with the sock on it you a can get pretty aggressive with the security of knowing you're not going to have the possibility of an unguided  missile. A 15/64's drill bit fits perfectly in a Gold Tip.

I just had an incident messing around with a carbon shaft. I always hot melt inserts in but found a shaft that was glued, Out of curiosity and boredom I put a LITTLE axial torque with some plier thinking I could peel the broken shaft from the brass insert. (I am not really that cheap, like I said, bored) Big mistake. It sounded like a ricochet bullet from the old west show when a microscopic piece flew off and smacked a nylon bag on a shelf. Not my shining moment. :-)

I use an insert tool you can get from 3rivers. Heat it up(but don't heat the carbon) then pull with that. Sometimes it works sometimes not. I have had awesome luck with that blue bohning glue. Works awesome for tuning.

Have removed nearly 100 inserts utilizing the drill swing method. Often times, I run into one that is quite stubborn and may go back to it several times over several sessions before achieving success.
