How short are you looking for, B-Dog?  I lean toward bows under 60" and have several I can recommend.

I have a 52" Bear Kodiak Magnum for ground blind hunting. At 55#@28", it casts a 525 grain 2413 arrow at 179.5 FPS.  IMO, a special purpose bow, not a do-everything bow.  Extremely hard to beat for confined quarters and deadly with the shot out to 20 yards.

Next up is a 56" Chek-Mate Hunter 56".  At 50#@28", this little sweetie zips 2413's at 185FPS!  It's only drawback is the short sight window which requires it be shot with feathers off the shelf, and I prefer to shoot vanes off an elevated rest.

58" Check Mate Hunter I, 52@28", shoots my 2413's 180FPS.  Nice do-everything bow, but I prefer the Hunter II riser.

58" Red Wing Hunter from the 70's, 50#@28".  Pretty much identical to the 58" Hunter still/currently made by Bob Lee, which I would love to have.  I primarily use it as a "basement bow" for indoor practice but would have no qualms about hunting it.

My favorite "short" bow is my 58" 55#@28" Martin Mamba. It zips my 525 grain 2413's out at 195 FPS!  It's also quiet and easy to shoot well.  Far and away my favorite bow at this point in time...

Lots of shorties on the market these days.  As for the ones I'm most familiar with (Chek-Mate), there's the 52" Raven, 56" Attila, 56" Hunter TD (3-piece), 58" Hunter I and Hunter II (3-piece), and the 58" Thunderbird and Longhorn flatbows.

I have a 52" Raven on hand--52@28, Bolivian rosewood riser, yew limbs, waterfall bubinga veneer on both sides of the limbs, right handed.  Dang pretty bow.

I'm shooting a 56" Ancient Spirits Kadiak thats pretty smooth, #46 @ 28" shooting a 580gr AD Trad Heavy at 165 fps, that's 12.6 gpp.  Not too shabby in my humble opinion.

Cascade Bows go all the way down to 48" in length and have been around for a long time, also probably one of the best warrantys in the business. Here is their website  www.cascadebow.com/page/page/2786931.htm

I own a 48" and 52" TD Golden Hawk and Night Hawk

I have a 58" Shrew longbow and a friend that has a 30" draw and it works great for him.  No stack or finger pinch.

Depends on the bow--I've shot shorter longbows/flatbows that didn't stack, but they have all had noticably more finger pinch than longer ones.  Shorter bow and/or longer draw, more extreme string angle--no way around it.  64" is the minimum for me, and I prefer 66".  I have pretty big hands and a dl of 30.5" on my longbow.
