Are some of you talking about measuring to the bottom nocking point instead of the top?

Split finger and 1/2" to bottom of nocking point on my Bear Kodiak Hunter. I only have one bow so I don't have any to take a comparative sampling. I did use 5/8" on my longbow that I gave my son. He has switched from wood to carbons and it is now 1/2" I believe.

I set all nocks on all bows at 5/8. I don't even have to mess with it anymore. Always the right height.

David; same here. I used to tinker endlessly and always wind up right around 5/8" shooting 3 under. Now, I just set it there and worry about other things.

I once killed a ground squirrel with a broadhead with a nocking point that was well below square (just threw on a string from another bow and was not paying attention)...I am always amazed by how forgiving a good featherrest is...I agree that nock height deserves little attention compared to other factors in the process of shooting well...I shoot a lot of bows with the strings and nocking points they came with where I have no idea what the nock height is

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42
