Myself & friend are wondering if anyone knows of OR has a copy of Video footage that was shown at POPE & YOUNG convention held at Traverse City,Michigan mid 1996' of Astronaut Joe Engle flying over GROUSEHAVEN with Fred Bear watching over head in FALL of 1987' ?  1987' was LAST year FRED BEAR visited Grousehaven.

Capt. Joe Engle turned 84 on 8/25. He flew the experimental X-15 between 1959 and 1968. It was worlds fastest plane, at 4,520 mph. I did not find any reference to a flight over Grousehaven, or Michigan. There is lots information on the famed astronaut and Air Force Capt.

I have a copy on dvd somewhere that was made for me by a Guy named George Suggs. He ran an archery shop in Grifton NC for years and use to go up hunting at Fread's place. He was there when Mr Engle did the flyover and hunted with them. Tom, YOu may be able to get up with George on FB. He lives on Pungo creek around the Belhaven area now days I believe. DB
