Sorry it has taken awhile to get to posting.  For some unknown reason all those around me think that the world does not revolve around bow shooting and hunting!

The trip started off crazy.  Between work and home life it was questionable if I would even make it!  Terry and I were on the phone with possible flight changes up till the night before.  He was very understanding and thankfully it all worked out in the end.

My flight was late but Terry and Bob grabbed me at the curb in Atlanta and we were off to dinner and get settled into the hotel.

The thing that strikes me about Trad is that even though I had never seen or met anyone on this trip it was very easy to settle in and relax.

Later that night Terry picked up Rob and we all had a good time talking before turning in.

In the morning, after a bite to eat we were off to grab Fred.  Vance and Charlie were missing as they got to poking around Atlanta.  A stop at Walmart aloud everyone to catch up and have some lunch.  The group was all together now and on a mission except for Vance who was was still poking!

We got to Paradise after a short drive and settled in.  In on time at all bows were coming out a a little warm up was taking place.

We went out that evening for a little walk about.  There was pig sign every where at my location.  Terry put me in an area that consisted of a big field with hardwoods surrounding it.  At the end if one kept going they would find a "ridge" with a dirt road on the other side.

I live in Utah.  The elevation difference between my house and office is measured in Thousands of feet.  I found the ridge Terry was talking about when I stepped down a couple of feet!  The other thing that struck me is how noisy the woods in the east are.  With the acorns falling it sounds like animals everywhere.

A quick walk told me hogs were using the road and puddles.  As I was returing I bumped a doe in the field.

Things were looking good and we hadn't ever been to the Catfish House!

Sorry for the delay.

It is my oppinion with hunting that the journey is as fun as the goal.  This journey was full of good people.

I had a few very close encounters and got to climb a tree with a cliber for the first time.  Did I mention that I am afraid of heights?

After the fist night scouting around and eating some catfish, we all hit the woods early.  The first morning I saw a ton of sign but no deer or hogs.

That evening I headed into the woods with Terry.  We found a great looking place with great deer sign.  I was in a guillie and set up with my back against a tree with some cover to the front and side.  Terry set up down the trail and up a tree.

Did anyone say that there are bugs in Georgia?  We waited untill dark.  Right at last light two deer came walking down the trail right at me.  The doe stopped about 40 yards out snorted and took off through the woods.

The next morning found me in the same spot with high hopes.  Nothing turned up.  We were fighting a full moon.  There was sign everywhere but few animals were being seen.

After a quick lunch we were off to a new promiseing sight.  I got a quick lesson on climbing stands.  When Terry and I got to the spot we were looking around for a good tree.  When I say we I mean Terry as I had to this point never climbed a tree.  As we were looking at a tree a buck ran across the slew and up a trail nose too the ground.  He never saw us.

A tree was picked and up I went.  I felt like an inch worm going up the tree.  I told Terry I was good.  He said I was less than 10 feet up and get up the tree.
