Yes. The doctor took photos through the scope of the inside of my shoulder joint. The rotator cuff is in good shape and it has plenty of room to move. The photos also show that there is no cartilage left on the head of the humerus bone and that the socket cartilage has severe erosion, and worn through areas. No wonder it hurts 24/7.

As I understand it, the incredible joint instability I am experiencing now will be much better after the replacement. As it is right now, my shoulder is wobbly and unstable with movement. When I move my arm, I don't know if it will respond or get jammed up and kind of stuck.
