I use a lone wolf climber exclusively when I do  not hunt from the ground.  Even then I often carry just the top and strap it to a tree for a  seat.

I pretty much only hunt public land and it is carry in and carry out for me.  The hardest part is finding a good tree that isn't in the wide open.  sometimes I feel too exposed.

I used a climber until someone stole the seat off of it while I went into town for lunch.  Never did get to shoot a deer from it.  I did shoot 5 deer going to and from it.  I haven't been off the ground since.  The highest i get now to the dizzying heights of the middle legs sets on my Huntmore chair and the Big Jim seat.

It's a summit climber for me most of the time. I have a cheap $49 walmart lock on stand that I have hung for this year, but doubt I'll use it much. The summit is just so much more comfortable and gives me a bigger platform to stand on. I hunt on the ground some too and really enjoy the ease of not messing with a stand. And for some reason the deer I've harvested at ground level seem like more of an accomplishment.
Now then, get your equipment-your quiver and bow-and go out into the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

I have 8 lock on stands, 1 ladder stand and 2 Summit climbers, (Open Shot & Bushmaster),. The Bushmaster is a lot bigger then my Open Shot. I use the Open Shot when I have to hike a ways to my tree. I had a Lone Wolf a few years ago but couldn't get comfortable in it. I try to stay mobile as much as possible so I mainly use my climbers.
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;

I much prefer to shoot a bow out of a hang on stand as they provide the least interference with limb clearance and are extremely stable once you get them set up.  That being said, I have committed to more mobility this year and intend to use my lone wolf climber a lot more.  When I first started hunting, I used a warren sweat special climbing stand almost exclusively.

Not a fan of the climbera..had one fall with me while I was climbing one day... The bottom held ...luckily I was only 10 ft up and my buddy was within earshot.. Had to do some creative finagling to get me back right side up

Lock one or ladder stands for me since then

I use a climber 70% of the time. I also use a woodpecker drill and loc- on on hunts over a mile in. Other than a few funnels I seldom climb the same tree more than a evening and the following morning. RC

I used to use my Lone Wolf hand climber every hunt. Not so much now as my hunting has changed. Its super quiet, super light, super stable, super easy and all the clearance any archer could ask for. I once climbed up about 50-60 yards from a bedded mature buck. He had no clue I was there, I didn't get him that morning, but I did about 4 evenings later  :)

Long wolf hand climber for me.
I also now use lone wolf assault and sticks as a mobile in and out set up daily set up. Depending on the trees I want to hunt. I can hunt more spots without having to give up th perfect spot because the tree has limbs. That's where the hang on comes in. Like I said up and down same day. Even use it after work up and down.

I always have a Lone Wolf climber in my arsenal, but it doesn't work on some trees with trunks that are too big, have too much character, lean too much or have too many branches, etc., so I also have some hang ons and ladder stands.  The older I get, the more I'm employing ladder stands.

60% of my hunting is out of my lone wolf hand climber. I would have to say it is the best investment i have made in a lot of years. It performs flawlessly!!!!!
