Strings for Old Bows
« on: September 01, 2016, 05:06:00 PM »
A while back I ran across a cache of new bow strings for old bows. They are new in that they haven't been used and are still in the original packages. They came from a venerable old hardware store that had finally gone out of business. Now I have to figure out what to do with them. They are mostly for longer bows like the old "Tamerlane" or other target bows.

Anyone have a comment about what the best end use would be. Someone suggested that a bow collector would probably be interested in them.

What a coincidence, Bud. Right after I posted this thread someone came in with a 70" Hoyt Pro Medalist to trade. Luckily there were several of these strings in the collection. Now it will probably be years before another one will be needed.
