Don't worry Roger you'll have a chance to break in your Ramer on fury critters shortly.

Just did a podcast with Steve Turay last night while he was driving home from his antelope hunts. 2 beautiful bucks from 2 different states killed on 2 completely different set ups all in 8 days of hunting! He is supper impressed with the ramer (and also very greatful for yoyr feed back Roger. As always he speaks very highly of you)!
I'm a r/d longbow guy but I'm not gonna lie, between what Steve and Roger say about that ramer it seems like the ultimate hunting tool and the itch to own one keeps getting harder to scratch.

I can tell you from personal experience. The new Ramer is one fine shooting longbow.

LB HNTR; go ahead and bite the bullet. Thanks for doing the interview.

Steve is a class act.  Spent an hour on the phone with him yesterday morning as he was driving home and is a wealth of information.  He really gave some insight on the ASL and on this design, and how it came into production...long story short...I cant wait for April!!

I really like my Shelton string follow.  I know the reverse handle of the Ramer makes it point a little more natural, but I like the looks of the traditional handle.  Steve is fantastic to work with and knows his stuff. I spent time in his shop shooting the classic, whisper and Shelton models(he was considering doing a 'Ramer' at that time for me but it was still just an idea at that time) and decided on the Shelton. I love the way the shot feels with it. Also got to shoot his 100# Schultz longbow. Ouch, that's a chunk of wood. I saw his machinery and he explained how he laid up his bows and I found it interesting when he said elm was his favorite core, so that's what's in the below bow with his green glass and Bolivian Rosewood handle.  I was sorry to see him move to Alabama from the U.P. of MI, but I'm glad he's happy.

Yes. Art did that for me.  That model usually has fringe but I'm not a fringe lover so he left it off.

One thing that impressed me with Steve's work was the grip and handle. I mentioned a piece of rosewood on one of his many website pictures and he found one just like it. Also, I liked the Shelton I shot in his shop but the grip was too small for my liking. He had me hold out my hand and he said 'I know what you need'. I love the grip on this bow. I just think that's Steve's years and years of experience building bows.
