I have a new to me TT Black Magic ILF Riser and Morrison Max 1 ILF D carbon/foam limbs. I ordered a new string from Allen at Ten Strings. I've shot it several times over the past 4 or 5 days.
The first time I shot it the results were less than I expected. I shot the first shots at 5 yards and the arrows were impacting 2" right and 4" high. As I moved back to 10, 15 and 20 yards, as expected the arrows were hitting the target even further right and higher.
Yesterday I cut the bottom end of a match stick off and placed it behind the plate on the riser. Now the arrows were hitting directly above my point of aim. I then twisted my tie on nock point up and now the arrows are hitting where I'm looking out to 25 yards.
about 5 or 6 months ago I sold a Morrison Cheyenne with Max 1 carbon/foam limbs that were 45#@28"on my Cheyenne riser. They were smoother and faster than any other recurve or longbow I've ever owned. The Max 1 ILF limbs are 52#@28" are very bit as smooth as the Cheyenne limbs I owned and are a tad bit faster shooting the same CE Maxima Red 350 arrows with 200 grains up front.
I've got more shooting enough before I feel comfortable enough to take the bow to the woods to hunt deer. But, suffice it to say it's definitely a keeper.
I might add that the Cheyenne was the only longbow or recurve that I owned for longer than 6 months. I owned it for 2+ years before I foolishly sold it!
