Black Bear Magnum
« on: September 15, 2016, 09:12:00 AM »
Picked one up a while ago and haven't been able to find out any details on it. It's a 42# AMO 52, and I just can't seem to dial in the brace height. The string I have on it might be too long, as the lowest brace height I can get is 8". I thought I read somewhere that shorter bows need shorter brace heights. Anyone got some pointers?

On another note, I want to start making my own flemish strings, would a 10 strand b50 be strong enough?

If that bow is anything like a Kodiak Magnum , the brace height should be around 8" .
B50 string I would use 12 stands .

Ok thanks! It doesn't really have the pronounced riser like the Kodiak mag, which is why I was thinking the BH maybe needs to be less than 8"
