Hush Puppy placement
«
on:

I ordered a set of Bow Hush and Hush Puppy silencers last week. So until they arrive I was looking or your experiences so far as placement of the silencers on the string.
I usually start with the 1/3, 1/4 points...
Anything different with these?

Nope, nothing different for me. 1/3 and 1/4 works out well.

I initially tunes without silencers... but add them to fine tune and quiet the bow. Just use hush puppies on mine ("hybrid"), but right about 1/4 and 1/3 is the sweet spot. And very, very quiet.
I also trimmed 'em down a good bit, and could probably trim even more. There's a lot of wool in those puffs.

1/3rd on recurves and 1/4th on longbows.
Don't trim them too far to start with....they need to set....or the short lenghts you've created will fly out.
My girls thank you.....

Terry,
Any idea how far out for shipping now?
I know it was pretty backed up there or a while.

I might try just the Bow Hush first to see how that works. Then add the Hush Puppies if needed.
I just hate the looks of LimbSavers, so I am trying to avoid them.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one who gets awake like that.
Thanks....
