U.V. killer
« on: October 01, 2016, 04:43:00 AM »
I did a search ...was surprised that there wasn't any posts about it. Does any one use it...I always use a sports wash on my camo...but haven't paid attention to any U.V. brightners that the camo may have come with...any feed back?

I've seen the UV thing discussed here quite a bit. Never used the UV killer but have heard reports that it does work.

I used the UV Killer years ago when it first came out. Seemed to help a lot, even squirrels didn't pay me many attention.  I think back then that my hunting clothes were washed with what ever wash my wife had, so it probably had brightness in it.  Using the sports washes I don't think the UV killer will help.

I had camo YEARS ago that must have been washed with brightners. I got picked off every time just as it was getting dark. I sprayed with UV killer and I wasn't spotted. So I'd say, yea, it does work.

I think the idea behind the UV killer is that certain meterials/dye glow in UV regardless of what you wash them with. The uv killer some how covers that up and makes them so they dont glow.

If you want to see if your hunting clothing glows in UV all you need is a black light.
