VPA 2 blade single bevel?
« on: October 16, 2016, 04:06:00 PM »
Hi all,

I've seen some pics on Google of single bevel 2 blade VPA's, doesnt seem like they are available on the VPA website though. Nothing on 3 Rivers or Big Jims site either.

Are they still available? Any idea where i can pick some up...I'm looking at the 1 and 1/4" 250gr and 300gr screw ins.

Thanks!

The Cutthroat broadheads from Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear, a sponsor here, are made by VPA and to my eyes are pretty much a single bevel version of the VPA 2 blade double bevel. Killed a doe with the Cutthroat last season and it performed very well.

Mike is right, VPS makes the Cutthroat single bevels at RMSG. I asked the guys at VPA the same question and their reply was that their single beveks are sold exclusively at RMSG. But the heaviest they have is 250 gn.

Yeah I think guys are right about the screw ins. I bought the 190 grain glue on with 125 grain adapter and they are real good for my set up. If thats not too much of a pain for you that might be the way to go.

Not sure what a single bevel will do that a standard VPA Penetrator will not...I think the supposed superiority of a single bevel is more about marketing than it is about fact...Andy Ivey has killed a lot of big animals with the standard double bevel Penetrators

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42
