Speaking of the rut
« on: October 28, 2016, 11:45:00 AM »
What kinda bottles ya bring to urinate in?
I know it's a stupid question but there's gotta be a better way than any old jar I steal from the kitchen....

I know some of ya just go visit the nearest scrape but I'm not there yet lol

Don't visit the scrape, I would have to climb down. No bottle, right out of the stand.

Right out of the tree as well. My younger brother went on a deer out of a tree one time.
He claims that it lip curled.    :biglaugh:

There is a place near where I generally enter the woods that usually have a scrape or two. I pee in them on the way in. Otherwise, out of the stand.

Unless I am going to be out longer than 5 hours or so, I hold it.

I'm a ground hunter and I use a nalgene bottle as a pee bottle. The kind that the screw on top is attached to the bottle mouth. A little camo duck tape and I'm good.

I'm shocked lol
I just don't know if I can bring myself to do it
I'm the kinds guy that washes my boots in the creek and then scrapes them all around in the ground dirt leaves and grass and then tip-toes to the stand so they have less to pattern me with....
Now I'm confused

Tim, I'm the same way. I just take one of the big Powerade or Gatorade bottles and go in that while I'm in my stand. I always have my pack with me so it stays in there until I get home. If I happen to get a little urine on my gloves or pack I will just wash them in scent-a-way and let em air out real good.

After 34 years bowhunting, I peed in a bottle until about 5 years ago. After countless posts read, I started peeing out of my stand. Then, 2 years ago I had a nice 6pt walk from behind me and under my tree. When he smelled my pee, he came unglued and ran off. No snort, he just didn't like it I guess. Back to a bottle. Gatorade has a big opening on their bottles as do some water bottles
