Have not had a shot yet but been seeing some bucks on my property.I have two stands about 75 yds apart. When I,m in one they are by the other one that game.Anyway it rained pretty good sat. morning so I took a walk to check out the buck sign.I know all the spots where there are rubs every year.So far not one rub yet to be found. No scrapes either.Pretty strange for this time of year.Any one having the same problem?Been seeing four different bucks seems there would be rubs.............

Haven't see a deer yet while hunting, no scrapes and no rubs. Even the blue jays and the chickadees have left town. The woods seem dead. I did see a good flock of turkeys at the start of the season......nothing since.

My Buddy had not seen a deer in several weeks after he shot his doe in early October.
Yesterday morning he had one doe come through and 6 bucks dogging her. It didn't end well for one of em.
Good luck.

3 feathers I'm not to far from you in howard. your right things are really weird I shot a small yearling early on in the season. now my hunting has went dead. I posted a standing corn post hoping to get some magic pill ideas for the corn. I'm thinking my deer are hanging and not leaving that corn only to drink. as far as rubs I just started seeing a few and one scrape I've kept my eye on and 2 others near by. but for 200 acres the sign is minimal. hope mid November changes things for all of us southern tier guys.

I have not been seeing bucks, but there are bunches of rubs around several of my stands. In addition, a lot of scrapes are close by. One is right on the path going to my favorite stand. Now, I just need to get the timing right, so that the bucks and I are at the stand at the same time.

Finding numerous scrape and rubs...up to 8" diameter tress...increased chasing and hi response to rattling...my good buddy that manages the adjoining property rattled in six separate bucks this past Saturday.
Larger bucks primarily nocturnal for at least several more days. The big boys will determine that or an early hot may provide that irresistible enticement.
Different locales will vary...many variables...remain patient and attempt to keep your hides fresh as you patiently wait for improved conditions and the deer's revealed determination.
