Heritage 75 Carbon Express

I have a 42# longbow that wants a very weak arrow. I can get the GT 1535s to shoot pretty good with 125 up front when fletched but they bare shaft a little stiff (they do shoot broadheads just fine). I had an older batch of the Heritage 75s and before installing inserts I wanted to check to seek what spine they were--it is my understanding that older 75s were .611 and newer 75s were .670. I called carbon express and gave the lady the number off of the arrow---031813 and she informed me that mine were .611. So I ordered a new set and they are marked 090114. I bareshafted one and it did not perform much weaker than the 600s I've been shooting. I called carbon express waited 20 minutes and the call was dropped. I called back and when I told the guy that I had the 75s he told me that they were .670. I asked him if he wanted the numbers off the arrows and he said--"no I'm positive all 75s are .670 the only thing that has changed is the color of the lettering--they've always been .670 spine. Both of my sets are white lettering. Now I'm confused. Can anyone shed any light on this. I am afraid that my bare shafting today did not help as I seemed to be struggling. Good results at 15 no consistency at 20 and 25.

Just found the original sheet that came with the original 031813 arrows and it lists 75s as .670 spine?

I was in the same dilema as you a little over a month ago, with the same arrow's (Heritage 75's), and a longbow that is 45# at 28" (I draw 27.5 so about 44# on the fingers).
Do you still have the pamphlet that the Heritage arrows shipped in? The pamphlet where it lists all of the difference arrows CE makes will have the arrow listed. If it list's them in the catalog as .670 than that's what they are.
The lettering on the new ones is black, I have a set of the new ones.
Also, compare the shade of the wood grain finish on the new ones you have compared to the old ones. The .670 spine CE arrows have a lighter wood grain shade.
Personally if they were bareshafting just fine for me at 15 yards I would stick some feathers on them and considered them bareshaft tuned to save yourself a headache.
Beyond 15 yards and if you short draw or over draw even 1/2" it will show up and in all reality your feathers will have corrected them completely by 15 yards anyways.
I hope that I could be of help and goodluck.

if they bare shaft perfect at 15yds then they are all set,,, any further and that is just fine tuning but in the real world with a human like your self shooting with T shirts to Heavy coats from different positions,,,, that fine tuning thing will only work for the Olympic archer.
if it bare shafts at 15yds and your shooting a 42# longbow I doubt your shooting past 20yds at live game right? your arrows are fine...

Thanks all for the advice. I've got hem shooting great at 15 full length w 125 up front. My gt 1535 s shoot slightly stiff full length w 125 up front, but shoot broadheads great once fletched. Amazing what fletching will do. I had hoped to have a little more wiggle room w the 75 s and end up w a shorter arrow, but they seem to be working just fine.
