First year with trad gear and after several close calls I finally get my shot. Unfortunately it was too high and went over the deer's back, it was perfect left and right though. Oh well, try them again tomorrow.   :banghead:

Sorry about the luck,,,, but sometimes those things happen. But don't give up,,, aim small, miss small.  Good Luck!

A clean miss is better than a bad hit any day! Look at it this way, you got to have all the fun with none of the work!

Better luck next time out!

Hey, rookie, that is just part of the learning process, so hang in there. Even the seasoned old timers sometimes miss. Besides, over time, some of the close calls that missed will become some of your favorite hunting stories. In the meantime, keep on hunting and you will make good on some of these shots. Good hunting!

I feel your pain.
Hang in there.
Be sure to practice from an elevated stand.

My first shot at a deer was a miss too, that was about 50 years ago and I still miss now and then but have connected on many fine critters ... hang in there it will happen    :archer2:

"Dang" may be an indispensable piece of traditional hunting equipment.

Yup me too Friday morning! Mine would have been a smidge high has she not put her chest in the dirt upon release. I'll take a clean miss over a bad shot any day now. If your in a stand keep your chin down that helps me
I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6
