A lot has happened this year, some good and some not so good. I had shoulder surgery, which has allowed me to better enjoy archery. My family has done well and I have really enjoyed my grandchildren. All in all, it has been a nice year for my family and me.
However, with all the good there is some sad. In August, I lost my mother at age 96. She had been in declining health for several years. She had a long and prosperous life, and I am very thankful to have had her for so long. Whatever goodness there is in me is largely due to her.
Let us all give thanks for what we have. True, there are are serious issues that face us as individuals and as a nation, but we have the ability to take our blessings and transform them into something better for all. God has blessed us and will continue to do so.
Happy Thanksgiving to all! Let us live our lives as straight as the arrow flies.
