Aluminum Shaft Size for Light Weight Bow??

Hey Guys,

I need to buy some new arrows to match my wife's new bow....a nicely done Tomahaw by 3Rivers.  The bow draws 25# @ 26".  What size aluminum arrow shafting should I get for arrows to match the bow.  Local folks aren't real familiar with this combination.

1813 or 1816 or 1716, probably would be some choices.
I got my wife a used 21st Century Edge (28# @ 28"), made when Jim was just coming out with the Edge.
I was told this was the first one sold; I don't know.
Anyway. Her's is purplehart and I got her some Easton Jazz in 1813 and 1716 and cut to 27" for her 26" draw.

Those Jazz shafts match her bow and aren't too expensive. You might want to check them out.

She draws 26" and they both shoot good out of the bow.
It was a Christmas present and she works late and had busy weekends so we haven't had a chance to bareshaft.
The few times she shot it, she took about 9 shots at 20 yards or so and then she shoots one arrow at a 3-D deer. So far she hits her one shot in the 'kill', at just under 20 yards.
I wish her shafts were long enough for me to shoot!

The Jazz sound like a good thing.....now the important question....what colors do they come in??  My wife is a Marshall grad....green and white would be perfect!

My Wife's Jazz arrows are 1616s 24-1/2" bop. They fly really well out of her Fox 60" longbow that is 24lb @ 24". The color is purple with silver stripes throughout the length of the shaft. I don't know if they come in other colors. Hope this helps, good luck. Frank

Thats the only color they come in. I have shot them before and the are a good arrow but a little soft. Good for targets and light bows. The price is right.

1616 that is 27"s or so would be good, if the bow is cut to or past center. Shawn
