Issues with Penthalon Heavy Hunters
« on: December 02, 2016, 04:06:00 PM »
Hey guys, I bought some Heavy Hunter shafts for one of my bows, and finally got them fletched up last week. After only a few shots, I noticed several chips on the edges of the shafts. When I flex them, I hear a slight crackling sound. I'm a bit scared to shoot them anymore since I would prefer not to have an arrow blow up in my face. Anyone else have this happen, or is this just a fluke? I ordered 6, and they all have done the same thing. I haven't been hitting arrows together since I never shoot at the same dot.
Just for the record, they are 320 spine with 175 grain heads out of a 75 pound recurve.
