Tree saddle type stands and Lone Wolf sticks

I use four of the lone wolf sticks and I put a back pack strap on the two outside sticks on the stack. I then tried to where the sticks like a backpack, but it didn't work out that great. The straps slid around quite a bit and the brackets, that rest against the tree, dug into my back. I ended up just using one of the straps slung over my shoulder or just carried them in my hand.

Do any of you tree saddle, tree suit, guido's web, etc. users have any clever ways of carrying the lone wolf climbing sticks (or any climbing sticks)? I would like to find a way to carry them so that I have both hands free.

I just placed an order for a guido's web two minutes ago so I am interested in tips too.

Guido's seat folds up from your butt to connect to back of shoulder straps.. I lay mine in there ( in the crease) horizontal and fold the seat over them and snap to shoulder strap..There is plenty of cloth that keeps them quiet... Guido makes a velcro carrying strap that connect to both ends on sections and you carry them with the strap on your shoulder...i wish I had my stand ...i'll try to take a picture tonight.

try this... If you have any strap on steps take one and wrap it twice around all of the nested sticks at once. (They can be cinched down really tight) Now it is like one piece. I use a length of heavy treestand harness strap lightly tied to each end and carry the whole she-bang over one shoulder.

p.s.
If they are strapped together really tight with your tree step, you would be surprised how easy they are to carry by just grabbing them by the outermost stick and using it like a handle.

I do pretty much what you do to keep them nested together tightly, but I just use the strap for the top most stick and wrap it around the all of the nested sticks a couple of times, then attach the tag end to the versa button on the top stick, and pull real tight. Your right, you can keep them all real tight and quiet and it isn't to bad to just carry them like that. With four it can be a little tiring to carry by hand, but I might just attach a rope to each end of one, like you mention, and sling it over my shoulder.

It would be nice to some how put them vertical on your back to keep both hands free, though. I might play around with the back pack straps some more.

I had started a project a while back but never finished it. I was making a cover for them out of heavy waxed canvas. I didnt quite have enough to finish the job. I hadnt thought of backpacking them, now thats a good idea.

I put one strap around the top and one around the bottom. They are the quick connect type. I hook a cheap rifle sling to this. Works pretty good.

I bought the shoulder carrying strap from Lone Wolf.I usually carry a treestand and a daypack on my back so don't really have room to carry them there.
