Footing for Goldtip 340 Traditional?
« on: January 28, 2017, 08:47:00 PM »
What do y'all use? I'm kinda new to carbons and have been  kicking around the idea of footing. I've thought about using an aluminum shaft ( not sure what size ) or maybe just buying some collars. What is an easy, cost effective option for footing carbon shafts?
Thanks in advance for the information.

If they are the same as the older 75/95 GT Trads 2216 aluminums fit. I have found that there may be slight size differences (shaft OD) batch to batch, but lightly heating the aluminum footing prior to sliding it on takes care of that.

I don't think i have ever broken a 7595 that i have footed (i have also double footed with a section of 2413 over the 2216 for more weight and durability).
Less anger, more troubleshooting...
